Every line of code in a software application is derived from a thought in a developers mind. This code forms an application and influences its success as it evolves during its life cycle. Through lines of code, the thoughts of developers transcend into an application (and eventually an ecosystem of applications).
At MetaCortex we take every line of code seriously. We are firm believers in Agile Methodologies and practice Test Driven Development (TDD) to ensure that the intention of every line of code is protected by a test. We write the test first, watch it fail, and then make it pass by implementing the solution.
Through rapid iterations of red/green/refactor we grow our solutions organically. Our code architecture is inspired with design patterns from Clean Code and Domain Driven Design (DDD). This allows us to craft solutions with scalability in mind for both the application and the test suite.

MetaCortex
The root of this word is meta-, which can be defined as "going beyond or transcending", and -cortex, which is "the outer layer (boundary) of gray matter surrounding the brain". Thus, Metacortex is "transcending the boundaries of the brain".
